Breezy Blackpool

Actor Stanley Holloway, in his famous monologue about Albert and the Lion, described Blackpool — the seaside resort situated on the northwest coast of England — as the town “that’s noted for fresh air and fun”. And so it is, even though its halcyon days between World War I and II are over.
But if you are looking for cathedrals, art galleries or lounging on tropical beaches, Blackpool is probably not for you.
