A man who lived alone and was suffering from advanced liver disease expressed his wish to Dr Kevin Yuen and his team at Royal Perth Hospital that he would like to die at home.
“He said to his carers, ‘You can have a key to my house and check me as much as you want, but one day you will come over and I will be dead’,” recalls Dr Yuen, a senior palliative care consultant at the hospital and medical director of DonateLife WA.
