A PSYCHOLOGIST who masqueraded as a psychiatrist, was registered by the Queensland Medical Board and worked as a staff specialist at Toowoomba Hospital for two years, has now been banned from practising.Vitomir Zepinic repeatedly lied about his training and qualifications to hospital management, medical colleges and state medical boards for over a decade. Last week the Psychologists Tribunal of NSW struck him off for five years, saying he “lacked the character required to be a registered psychologist”.According to media reports, Mr Zepinic was Bosnia’s former deputy interior minister during the Balkans conflict in the early 1990s.
