THE RACGP is set to receive payments for distributing to GPs a market research survey designed for the pharmaceutical industry.
Last month 5000 college members received a letter via
e-mail from market research company UltraFeedback. The letter said every survey filled in by a college member would result in a donation to the college
s research foundation. The letter also stated:
You should note that this survey has not been endorsed or developed by the RACGP.

has learned UltraFeedback will pay the college $30 for every survey completed by a college member.
The survey asks recipients how they view different pharmaceutical company representatives, which company representatives are preferred, and how GPs rate advertising and educational materials provided by different companies.
